Doctor Kenneth Lasoen and Professor and Senior Researcher Anne Bergmans co-hosted a theme day titled "Information gathering in a digital age" at the University of Antwerp under the auspices of the "Diplomacy and International Relations" and "Security Sciences" master's programmes. Approximately 50 enthusiastic and engaged participants were present, and discussions revolved around a.o. Arno Reuser's propeller approach, a contemporary intelligence cycle perspective. Ethical and deontological considerations were also addressed, updating participants' moral compass. The event also imparted insights into novel OSINT methods and techniques to uncover information within an "intelligence-led and result-driven" intelligence environment against current security matters. The participants' applause at the end of the day was the icing on the cake. We feel privileged to have participated in this event.
